Felt very stupid today. Trying to figure out how to improve the way the genome encodes the neural network to accommodate a neural network that changes in size.
Needed to get a quick overview of DNA recombination, replication and, crossing over. Wikipedia was difficult to follow. Videos on Youtube were okay, animations were good but the commentary was too technical.
The way that it currently works in the system doesn't feel right. There's one big genome that encodes everything but the genome can't accommodate a neural network that keeps growing...
