How to Back Trace an Error Caught by MSVCRT

1. Run your program in a debugger such as GDB
   
2. Select Retry
3. GDB will catch the error message.
4. Now you can bring up a back trace.

Notes

• This took me ages. I kept pressing Abort and then getting frustrated when there was no back trace to help me debug
